Like the original game, Moto Racer 2 allows you to race superbikes or motocross dirt bikes on a variety of tracks. There are eight different bikes in each category, each with its own ratings for brakes, grip, top speed, and acceleration. As in the previous version, the quality of your brakes is meaningless, because you rarely use the things. Top speed and acceleration are usually the most important items to consider, though a good grip rating becomes vital in bad weather conditions.
One of the game's strengths is the sheer number of tracks available to you right at the outset - a whopping 32. True, eight of these tracks are repetitive simple loops that are intended as templates for the track editor (more on that in a second), but the other 24 tracks still represent a refreshing change from the usual "win on every track and we'll unlock one more" formula. The tracks are split evenly between superbike and motocross courses, and the environments include city streets, a rain forest, the desert, and the countryside of Brittany.
Gameplay is pretty much like the original Moto Racer. The game is not a motorcycle simulation, but it does feel sufficiently different from most car-racing games. Also, Moto Racer 2 does a great job of conveying the sheer speed of each race: When you top 150mph in Moto Racer 2, you really feel like you're going that fast. The difficulty levels are well stepped so that you can win pretty easily on the lowest setting but will be hard-pressed to place in the top three on the highest.
After playing Motocross Madness, some gamers may be disappointed by the limited - and relatively tame - tricks available in Moto Racer 2's motocross mode. Some other gameplay elements are disappointing as well, such as the fact that your speed drops almost to zero when you brush another bike - even though that bike continues to fly along at its previous pace. Also, the hard-to-spot curbs along the side of most tracks have the same deadening effect on your bike and will virtually eliminate you from contention after a single bump on the highest difficulty setting. Rarely will you ever crash in this game, unless you hit an obstacle during a wheelie (and then you might as well give up, as the game waits for an excruciatingly long time before setting you back on your bike). In fact, if you hit a jump poorly during a motocross race and start flying off the track, an invisible barrier will snap you right back in bounds, and you won't even lose control of your bike.
Obviously, the game was intended for fast-paced arcade action, and on that level it performs admirably. So long as you're not looking for a pure motorcycle sim with realistic physics and tons of motocross tricks to land, you simply can't go wrong with Moto Racer 2. With two racing modes, thrilling gameplay, a ton of tracks, and a track editor, Moto Racer 2 offers a whole lot of action for any arcade racing fan.

To protect your own gray matter, you create defensive fortifications around your house by cultivating a wide variety of cute, combat-ready plants to handle the goofy varieties of zombie attackers. Plants vs. Zombies is solidly rooted in the tower defense genre, but it grows and branches in such a charming, accessible way that almost anyone can pick it up and have a lot of fun. The basic gameplay is pleasantly engaging, but it will take seasoned defenders a few hours before they can play legitimately challenging levels. Fortunately, Plants vs. Zombies rolls out new units and environments at a good pace, and the minigames, puzzles, and Survival mode offer some clever and challenging diversions. It's a delightful game that is both addictive and accessible, and you'll never look at your garden the same way again.
The core action is quite simple. Your lawn is divided into a grid, and each square can hold one plant. Zombies shamble up the rows of the grid toward your house, and if they get past your defenses, well, you know. At the top of the screen there are a number of slots that house the various plants at your disposal. Setting a plant down in a square costs sunlight, a resource that falls intermittently from the sky. However, you need more sunlight than is freely available, so you have to plant sunflowers to generate more sunlight. During the first minutes of a level, it's a measured balancing act between building your sunflower ranks and laying down defenses to deal with the first few zombies. Your basic attack units shoot peas down the row that they are planted in, so you'll need one in each row before too long. As the zombies become more numerous, you bolster your botanical battalion with a growing variety of projectile launchers, defensive barriers, attack amplifiers, and one-use weapons of zombie destruction. After you've survived the final wave of zombies, you're rewarded with a new minigame, a new type of plant, or perhaps just a hastily scrawled note from your would-be assailants.

Variety and creativity take this basic mission structure and turn it into something special. Just when you've gotten your daytime defense strategy down, the zombies decide to attack at night and you have a whole new set of plants to manage. When you've taken care of the nocturnal nasties, it's back to the daytime, only now a few of your rows are taken up by your backyard pool (there are snorkel zombies). New units come along that fit the new environments, and this steady trickle of new elements helps keep the gentle difficulty curve from becoming dull. Still, tower defense veterans will have to endure a lot of simple, familiar action in order to find a real challenge, and the wait may prove too long for some. Fortunately, all of the units are cleverly realized and adorably animated. Happy sunflowers bob merrily as they fuel your defense efforts, and pole-vaulting zombies jog toward your house with gangly athleticism. From angry jalapenos to spacy wall-nuts, each unit has a great sense of personality, and the first time you watch a dancing zombie moonwalk onto your lawn and summon his garishly dressed backup dancers, you'll likely chuckle with amusement. The visual charm makes the game a pleasure to look at, and it helps keep things feeling fresh.
Once you've completed the main adventure and unlocked most of the units, the Survival mode offers a number of stages in which you can seek a tougher challenge. Each Survival stage is basically a bunch of increasingly difficult levels strung together. In both Adventure and Survival mode, you get a preview of the zombie types to expect, so you can array your defenses accordingly. Certain zombies can bypass certain defenses; for example, the balloon zombie floats over normal projectiles, but you can plant a cactus to shoot him down. In Survival mode, adjusting for these midstage changes might mean that you have to uproot some of your plants to make room for strategically crucial ones, or just push your established perimeter out further toward the zombie invaders. Unlike in the Adventure mode, your defenses are persistent throughout each level and you get the chance to change your plant loadout periodically. Building on established defenses is an interesting tactical twist and is a great opportunity to use some of the more exotic species that you may not have used in your Adventure mode strategy. This all adds up to make Survival mode surprisingly rewarding. It offers new tactical challenges and a reason to play beyond the main adventure.

There are some other fun reasons to continue playing after completing Adventure mode, namely puzzles and minigames. There are two types of puzzle game: Vasebreaker and I, Zombie. In the first, you are given a lawn with a number of nondescript vases on it. You have to break them all to win, but you never know what will pop out. It might be a zombie, or it might be a helpful plant. You have to dispatch all of the zombies to survive, and doing so with improvised defenses is fun and hectic. I, Zombie turns the tables and lets you deploy the zombies. Busting through each row of plant defenses requires that you use your strategic knowledge for evil; and, in a delightfully morbid twist, you'll actually enjoy the sound of zombies chewing on plants. The minigames are a wacky assortment of one-off challenges that further play with the basic dynamics of Plants vs. Zombies. Some games pit you against modified enemies (zombies with plants for heads; invisible zombies), whereas others mess with your planting strategy (planting entire columns at once; mysterious portals that redirect your projectiles). With 20 levels of puzzles and 20 different minigames, Plants vs. Zombies offers a lot of entertaining ways to keep playing.
Of course, satisfaction for a well-defended lawn isn't your only reward. You can earn money throughout every mode, which you can then spend on a variety of items offered by your crazy neighbor, who sells things out of the back of his car. Items range from defensive boosts, to upgrades for your existing plants, to a wide variety of gardening implements to help you cultivate your Zen gardens. These areas are simple greenhouses in which you can grow your exotic plants in a zombie-free environment. The music helps set the Zen vibe and is quite good across the board. It generally consists of lighthearted, progressive loops that bop along at a good pace and set a great tone for the action.

As Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger enter their fourth year at Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft, new challenges await them, both "professional" and personal. The Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire video game sticks strictly to the adventure aspects of the story, never touching upon the sticky relationship drama that makes up key subplots in the novel and the film. You'll still have plenty to do in the game, though: Guide the trio of young wizards through various locales, fight magical creatures, solve puzzles, and usher Harry through the Triwizard Tournament challenges just before a climactic showdown with Lord Voldemort himself. Though the collection aspects of the game are a drag at times, The Goblet of Fire still does enough to keep Potter fans engaged throughout.

The Goblet of Fire makes a few departures from the last game in the series, The Prisoner of Azkaban. You still play as Harry, Ron, and Hermione, but the three don't have unique abilities anymore. You also can't switch between them during a mission in The Goblet of Fire. But you'll still solve plenty of environmental puzzles using each character's standard, context-sensitive charm spells. Cast a charm in the direction of a boulder and you'll lift it with a wingardium leviosa spell. Cast it in the direction of a fire, and your character will automatically do an aqua eructo charm to conjure a stream of water for dousing the flame. Carpe retractum (for opening gates) and herbivicus (for causing plants to bloom) are other context-sensitive charms used in the game. The puzzles you need to solve are usually fairly obvious. For example, while exploring the greenhouses of Hogwarts, you may need to use carpe retractum to pull down bridges, and herbivicus to open up lily pads that let you cross small bodies of water. Some obstacles, like extra-large boulders or flames, require two or more of the characters to simultaneously cast their charms to overcome them. The artificial intelligence controlling the other characters is smart enough to help you out when it needs to, but if you're playing three-player cooperative mode, you'll need to work with your friends to do the same task. It's also worth noting that players can jump out of cooperative mode at any time, switching control over to the computer if one player needs to leave.
Jinx spells are another primary spell type. Jinxes are basically just an attack you use to attack monsters in the game, which include fire salamanders, dugbogs, and erklings. The menagerie isn't very extensive, but each of the monsters has a different fighting style and offers a different challenge. You can combine charms and jinxes to do combined attacks on creatures, as well. For example, if one character lifts a creature up in the air with a wingardium leviosa charm, the others can jinx it while it's being held for a combined attack, which is more powerful and effective than just spamming the jinx button.
As you make your way through the game's levels, solving puzzles and fighting creatures, you'll collect Bertie Bott's Every-Flavor Beans, which you can get when dropped by defeated creatures, or by jinxing random parts of the environments. The beans serve as currency, which you can use to buy cards to power up each character. The character card system adds depth to the game, letting you customize each of the three characters depending on the situation and play style. Some cards increase the power of your jinxes; others add stamina or duration to your magicus extremus meter, which when filled, gives you a limited amount of increased firepower for your spells. The more expensive and interesting cards let you fire double or triple jinxes with each cast, or give you an advantage against certain creatures. Each character can only use three cards in a mission, so you'll need to choose carefully before starting. Each character also maintains his or her own bean count and deck of cards, so that encourages you to switch between characters as you go through the campaign and make sure all of them have around equal power.
The primary gameplay in The Goblet of Fire involves collecting Triwizard shields that are scattered about the various levels. Some are hidden away for you to pick up, while others are earned by defeating boss creatures. Most of them require you to use your spells to solve environmental puzzles and reach them in out-of-the-way places. As you collect Triwizard shields, later levels are unlocked for play, letting you explore areas such as the Forbidden Forest and the roofs and greenhouses of Hogwarts. There are other items scattered about the levels, such as minishields, statuettes, and mushrooms, that you're asked to collect. Some of these also yield Triwizard shields, while others unlock cards. The problem is that after you've collected all of a certain item, it's never made clear what you've won. Sometimes a Triwizard shield popped up elsewhere in the level. Other times, we never quite figured out what we won by finding all the statuettes or magic mushrooms in a given map. Because the game relies a lot on having you replay certain levels to find all the collectibles, it's somewhat frustrating to not receive immediate feedback on what you've gotten out of searching every nook and cranny. Despite that flaw, it's still pretty fun to explore each of the game's levels the first time, fighting the monsters and finding the Triwizard shields.
The Triwizard challenges you unlock also help mix up the gameplay, as they're different in nature from the standard levels. The Triwizard challenges follow the template used in the book and the film; one challenge has Harry fly off on his broom with a dragon in pursuit, while another has Harry explore the depths of the Black Lake. These levels don't involve any exploration or collection--they're pretty much linear races, with some light combat involved.
You'll explore various levels looking for Triwizard shields.
Graphically, The Goblet of Fire is competent, excelling the most in its environment. For example, as you scale the towers and roofs of Hogwarts, you can see the surrounding buildings of the school grounds in the distance. The dragon that chases you through your first play of the Forbidden Forest is also quite imposing and impressive visually. Spell effects also look impressive, making use of particles and other lighting effects. However, the character models look pretty small on screen and don't animate particularly well. What's most disappointing is that the game never leverages any media from the film, aside from still shots used to decorate the cards. The cutscenes in the game are comic-like in their style, not unlike the cover art of the books. Though they still offer an air of authenticity, the frugal nature of the cutscenes seems oddly deflating given the visual splendor Potter fans have come to expect from the films. The four platforms look quite similar in general, with the Xbox and PC versions offering the sharpest graphics, and the PS2 and GameCube versions looking somewhat muddier in comparison. As far as sound goes, the spells and creature effects seem pretty good, as does the music used in the menus and during cutscenes. The voice acting used in the game can get somewhat repetitive over time.
As a platformer aimed at the younger crowd of Potter fans, The Goblet of Fire does a good job at delivering an experience that is in line with the plot of the books. Even if you're an older fan of the Harry Potter books, the game is still worth checking out, especially if you've got two other friends to play the game in three-player cooperative mode. It's definitely not quite as awe-inspiring an experience as seeing the films, but if you want a more interactive take on what it might be like to be in the world of magic, The Goblet of Fire video game will suit you just fine.

In a single race the player selects the opposing car, while all cars compete in a tournament and at the start of a knockout race. There is also two playing styles—arcade or simulation. Arcade mode improves handling while simulation mode is intended to provide more realism.[3] The number of laps can be chosen from two, four or six. Automatic or manual transmission as well car paint color are selectable in all game types.
A tournament race involves playing all tracks in order with the starting track able to be selected. Only after successfully completing a tournament in first place can knockout races can be played. Knockout races involve racing two laps over each of the six tracks with a number of opponents. These disqualification races always start on the easiest circuit and continue through each map, with the player who finishes last being eliminated after each race. After advancing through all the tracks another circuit is revealed. Monolithic Studios can then only be played by completing all knockout races first.

The usual electronic/dance beats of chart-toppers such as Moby and Ministry of Sound have been exchanged for the powerful strings and crescendos and kettledrums of the critically acclaimed Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. The menu system, which surely reached the peak of drabness in last year's model, is polished, colorful, and presented with pride. I've got to say that I enjoyed M25 Racer more and I really think London Racer 2 is definitely not the greatest racer arcade I have played. London Racer 2 is an arcade racing game, in which you enter an illegal street race organization as a rookie. This organization sets up illegal races on the m25 and in London and Oxford. In this hierarchic organization you start in the small league, but when you're good enough, they let you enter the "Luxury sports car league" but at the end, you'll be trying to reach the ultimate league: the "GT Racer League". During the leagues, you try to go faster and faster through buying extras and power-ups for your car to tune it up. By finishing higher in the leagues, you'll earn more money with which you can buy even better cars or upgrade your current car. You'll be able to get money and other items like, nitro boosts and -fixing icons-, which naturally fixes your car, by picking them up during the race. The game offers various cars types including bonus cars that can be used only by finishing some levels. It also offers two sorts of gameplay:
The single player part include three game modes: Tournament, which contains three different competitions: small cars race, luxury sport car race and GT race cars race. Time trial, where you race for the best time without worrying about opponents. And finally single race, where you race on a separate track of your choice.
Then there's the multiplayer part, which includes two game modes: Duel, and Cop vs. Racer. It also offers various courses in a variety of cities around the world, like London, Edinburgh, New York, Las Vegas and Chicago.

Graphics

For a start the game graphics aren't too bad, but it is definitely not as great as it could've been. The graphics aren't realistic, which make the game less fun to play. The game's environment lacks quality, and could've been a lot more detailed. But still I have to say that the environment of the courses include a number of items like: coffee tables, street lights, cars, buses, construction cones and more, which add a lot to the race atmosphere. But still, some of those items look shallow and with too little detail, especially the traffic cars. I have to add that I liked the character design, because each of them has their own personality that reflects the car design. You can use three different driving view modes: hood view, bumper view and rear view. I know doesn't matter to some people, but I must say that the game's menu design really lacks in colors, and basically look shallow.
The performance of the game in terms of graphics is good, but it does have a few minor bugs, for example some of the environment objects like the street lights often blurs. I also want to mention that the car crashing graphics are really unrealistic - for example when you crash into objects you can notice a couple of sparks of fire that looks very unrealistic. Secondly, I want to mention that I liked the idea of racing round on famous sites around the world like Buckingham Palace, the Big Ben and others. But still I only liked the idea behind the environment design and not the design itself, and that's because the lack of realistic graphics.

Sound

London racer 2 offers a general race game sounds which includes: great thrilling race music, sounds effects like police sirens, car sounds effects like car engines, tires, brake sounds, crash sound, environment sounds like birds, traffic sound effects and more. Along with the car radio which adds a lot to the gameplay.
The one thing I really liked in London Racer 2 is the sound. When you start to drive you can listen to the radio songs and programs that can really make you laugh. The addition of the radio really makes the game a lot more fun to play. In general the game sound effects quality is average - London Racer 2 doesn't offer outstanding music/sound. But as I said earlier it adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Gameplay

First of all I most say that the control of the car is very unrealistic and not fun to play. The car steering is very hard and tight. The artificial intelligence of the cop cars is not good either, and even has a few bugs. For example I often noticed that the cop car ran into buildings, and sometimes the cops didn't even chase me after I broke traffic rules.
London Racer 2 isn't a realistic game, in regards of physics either. Speaking of which, the sense of gravity is really strange at times. For example, when you accelerate and hit some object, like cars or walls, your car rises into the air like it was a feather, and if you hit a street light it brake right out of its place like a toothpick and flies away.

Multiplayer

As I already mentioned London Racer 2 offers just a local one, including two game modes: the first one is a duel, where you race against your friend in split screen mode. The second mode is "Cop VS Racer", where the cops have to destroy or catch up with the racer in order to win, and the racer has to survive for some time in order to win. The game offers a simple local multiplayer that can be fun for a little while.

Final Fight is the best game ever made. If you don't agree with that statement, consider the following words: Bred, Andore Jr., G. Oriber, Edi E., Two P, and, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, Metro-City Mayor Mike Haggar. These are some of the most unforgettable characters in gaming history, and they all appeared first in Final Fight. If you're still not impressed, then stop reading now--you won't appreciate Final Fight One, an almost perfect translation of the arcade original.
In case you're unfamiliar with the Final Fight legend, but were impressed by the list of characters and so are still reading, here's the deal: Final Fight is the seminal side-scrolling beat-'em up. Technically, Double Dragon may have come first, but Final Fight perfected the genre. Imagine Street Fighter if it wasn't designed for monocle-wearing fancy-lads--if it had a more meat-and-potatoes combat system, involved fighting a lot more than one enemy at a time, featured plenty of smashing barrels with your fist to see if there's any treasure or hunks of meat inside, and required a lot more walking to the right. And then imagine that not only can you punish the thugs by pile-driving them, but you can also make them cry by busting up their cars. Then stop imagining, because it's all contained in Final Fight.
The Game Boy Advance version is a little miracle. It's the best translation of the arcade game to date. First of all, it contains all six of the arcade levels, including the industrial area left out of the 1990 Super Nintendo translation. And unlike that version, Final Fight One features all three of the original characters--the all-arounder Cody, the beefy Haggar, and the agile Guy. More importantly, it permits two people to play cooperatively using two systems and a link cable. Even more importantly, the two-player mode works great and doesn't slow down when there's a lot of activity onscreen, which is pretty much all the time because that's how the people who play Final Fight like it.
Unfortunately, the translation isn't completely perfect. For some reason, the two female punks, Roxy and Poison, have been replaced by generic male punks. This was true of the SNES version as well, but that hardly excuses it. There are also some small graphical changes--the arcade's flickering fluorescent light effect is gone as are a few background animations. The game's soundtrack suffers somewhat in translation too.
There are five difficulty options ranging from very easy to very hard. You're allotted a limited number of continues, but unlike in the arcade and SNES versions, progress is saved after every level. One mildly annoying feature is that the two-player mode gives you unlimited retries with no option to restrict the number of continues. Of course, you can simply decide to permit only a certain number of retries, but seriously, everyone knows those kinds of honorable resolutions never last very long.
Perhaps to make up for the small ways in which Final Fight One deviates from its arcade inspiration, a few bonuses have been included. There are now some small cutscenes before each of the boss battles. It's not a huge thing, but they do include some excellent new tough-guy dialogue such as "Shut your mouth up! Get Ready!" There's also a point system that unlocks a series of bonuses. None of the bonuses amount to much, however. There's nothing even as good as, say, a portrait gallery. About the best bonus is an option to make Guy and Cody wear their Street Fighter Alpha clothes. The rest are all along the lines of extra lives, a level select, and other pretty mundane rewards.
Still, the great thing about Final Fight is that it's a timeless game. Whether it's your first time through the game or your seven hundredth, shoulder-tossing one punk into a group of his oncoming friends remains a thrilling experience. It may not be deep in the Virtua Fighter smarty-pants sense, but it is deeply satisfying. Final Fight represents straightforward arcade brawling at its absolute best. Knight Rider might not seem like the most obvious licensed property to base a game on. When you get right down to it, the original 1980s television show was about a talking, crime-fighting car that could do tricks. The car in question was KITT (the Knight Industries Two Thousand), and it could get up on two wheels, jump over things, and perform other ridiculous feats that were usually specific to the plot of any given episode. And developer Davilex has tried to implement these car tricks in Knight Rider for the PC, making for a strange game that's almost like a cross between a traditional racer and a platform-jumping action game.

The levels are laid out like stunt courses.
Knight Rider has two types of missions: those that require you to race, and those that require you to explore. In this respect, it is similar to SCi's violent car-combat game Carmageddon 3. It is also similar to Carmageddon 3 in that the racing sections are fun, but the exploration sections are tedious. Unfortunately, you often have to do both in any given mission. Knight Rider isn't a bad game--it's just too short and too repetitive. Most missions will require you to chase a helicopter or another car, drive around a compound and scan buildings, or both. The game is full of time limits, requiring you to "Stop that helicopter!" or "Get to the transmission station!" in some short period of time. It's usually not very difficult--in fact, for some reason, the time limits are really only a factor in the training missions. The "hard" difficulty setting makes things a little more challenging, but on the easy or normal settings, you can finish all the game's missions in one or two tries.
Often, the only challenge in the game comes from figuring out exactly where you're supposed to go. This is because Knight Rider, especially in the latter half of the game, expects you to use strange routes to access its many areas. You'll occasionally need to jump over some crates, enter "ski-mode" (the official name for KITT's ability to drive on two wheels) to drive across a beam, and then jump from roof to roof just to access a target area. It's ridiculous, because KITT's "turbo boost" (the official name for jumping) allows it to jump high in the air from a dead stop, as if the top-secret car were equipped with the latest in cutting-edge lowrider technology. In these cases, KITT seems less like an automobile and more like a certain famous Italian plumber.
The game's racing sections are better, as the roads you'll drive along are set up like stunt tracks. You'll need to jump dozens of broken bridges and obstacles while simultaneously avoiding land mines and civilian vehicles. Strangely, the roads in Knight Rider are strewn with land mines, and in many of the racing missions, buildings and mountains will just explode for no apparent reason. One mission requires you to follow a helicopter through a desert valley, and huge boulders and mesas will tumble and crumble around you, though nothing is causing them to do so.
Perhaps the worst thing about Knight Rider is the fact that, for such a simple game, it is fairly difficult to get started. KITT handles decently enough, but actually learning to control it is more difficult, as the tutorial doesn't actually tell you how to activate any of the car's features, and the manual doesn't list every control option (and some of the options listed in the manual are incorrect). Even stranger is the inclusion of KITT's night-vision mode, which you won't actually need to use during the course of the game.
Fans of the show will appreciate that you play as Michael Knight, and that the major supporting staff makes appearances. The original actors don't provide the voices, but the replacements are competent. There aren't always voices--the cutscenes have voice-overs, but the mission briefings are just pictures of the characters with text dialogue. The game uses music from the series, including the Giorgio Moroder damaged-electro-disco theme song. It's hard not to succumb to a bout of nostalgia as the music kicks in and you see the opening scene, with KITT flying across the desert. And anyone who remembers the show will be glad to know that the game follows the only storyline they're likely to remember, featuring Michael's evil twin Garth and his semi truck of death and destruction, Goliath.
Buildings and structures often explode for no reason.
When you first start playing the game, you might think that you've somehow booted it up on a Sony PlayStation. The default graphics settings ensure that everything looks jagged and blurry. At higher resolutions and with all the detail settings at their highest, the game looks considerably better, and KITT's wax job reflects everything in sight. Unfortunately, setting the game to a higher resolution doesn't affect the prerendered cutscenes, which look awful no matter what graphics settings you choose.
But Knight Rider isn't all bad--the game's missions can be enjoyable, even if they're repetitive. However, not only are the mission goals fairly similar from mission to mission, but the game's locations are also recycled over and over again. To top it off, Knight Rider is extremely short and shouldn't take you more than four or five hours to complete. Fans of the TV series will likely get a kick out of the game for purely nostalgic reasons, and the game's combination of racing and jumping puzzles might be an interesting novelty for fans of arcade racing games. But underneath KITT's shiny chassis is a fairly humdrum racing game that sails by in no time flat.

Presumably since EA Sports has already covered international competition in its earlier game, 2002 FIFA World Cup, FIFA Soccer 2003 focuses on club competition. However, its scope is absolutely huge, encompassing 450 teams from around the world and more than 10,000 individual players, each modeled after real-life counterpart. You can choose from globally renowned powerhouses such as Real Madrid, North American Major League Soccer teams such as the San Jose Earthquakes, or somewhat less-renowned franchises like Korea's Pusan Icons.
The game also features the complete 40-squad international roster from this year's World Cup competition, more than two-dozen gorgeous and purportedly accurate stadiums, and a full allotment of home and away uniforms (and additional "alternate" kits where applicable) for each and every team. Play modes include one-off skirmishes, league seasons, and authentic and custom cup competitions and tournaments. Skilled players have an opportunity to unlock even more tourneys and stadiums by proving themselves worthy on the pitch.
This time around, EA Sports has opted for a deceptively minimalist user interface that makes it easy for rookies to jump right in without being assaulted by a barrage of information screens and choices, but the interface seems poorly designed for veterans who feel the need to tweak and customize. Furthermore, most menus tend to look comparatively rough, with little of the flash and high-end options you might expect from an EA Sports game. Particularly frustrating are the small arrow-shaped icons used to advance forward and move back; they're difficult to locate and hard to activate once you do see them. It's not a completely minor issue either, because these annoying little arrows are used throughout all of FIFA 2003, even for the in-game menu system.
One interesting amenity that you won't even find in the game but can download free of charge is the official "FIFA creation center," a nifty utility that lets you create new players, customize their physical attributes and soccer skills, concoct new kits with predesigned or personalized artwork, modify competitions, and even construct your own logos and banners. It's certainly great, but it should have been included in the game right out of the box.
But FIFA 2003's most important feature is its increased focus on a realistic playing experience. In that respect, EA has significantly tweaked a number of gameplay elements to reward those who calculate their movements in advance, devise pass-based attacks, and use every single button and button combination at their disposal. It has also devised a game with substantially fewer offside calls, and that's good news for everybody.
In FIFA 2003, you can't always rely on the good old speed-burst option to pull you through. In fact, speed bursts are nothing like they were previously. When you hit the jets, your players will take a moment or two just to get up to speed. They'll also take at least that long to slow down again at the end of the burst, and they'll also have a lot less control over the ball while they're in the process of speeding. To make matters worse, the defender marking your runner will dog him every step of the way, most often closing ground simply because he doesn't have to worry about dribbling a soccer ball. Clearly, the speed burst is much more realistic than it was in previous games.
Scoring a goal in FIFA 2003 is similarly more challenging. You'll no longer pull off amazing on-target blasts by simply touching the shoot button and letting go of your movement key or gamepad. Now, you're forced to point your striker directly at the net and punch the shoot button in precisely the right spot or face a string of missed opportunities. Snapping one wide from even a scant 20 feet out is a distinct possibility. In addition, goaltenders now stray well off their lines to cover the entire penalty area, and they sometimes go beyond. It doesn't help that the game still tends to direct too many shots toward goalposts just to keep the score close, though in FIFA 2003, you'll get less of a sense that the game has decided the final score in advance than in previous games.

FIFA 2003 is certainly a more difficult game to master than its predecessor was. More players touch the ball via deflections, bump passes, blocks, and missed passes, and that calls for quicker reactions and better planning. Even gathering in a high ball on the touchline involves more precision and skill. Fortunately, EA Sports has included a number of complex advanced maneuvers and aids designed for those who want to take the time to master them.
The most obvious of these new features is FIFA's metering system. Though it's used for different purposes in different situations, FIFA 2003's meter works much like the swing meter in a PC golf game; it indicates the velocity or direction of your upcoming pass or shot and ultimately gives you more control over the proceedings. Advanced players will also want to experiment with the game's new freestyle control feature, which, when used properly, coaxes a variety of unique and often thrilling signature moves from star performers.
Back for a return engagement in the announcer's booth is quintessential soccer broadcaster and FIFA series veteran John Motson. Together with former Scottish football star and FIFA newcomer Ally McCoist, who serves a satisfactory first-time stint as color commentator, Motson is typically brilliant. His verbiage is believable and wide-ranging, and his delivery is impeccable. In fact, the commentary is so seamless that you may sometimes wonder if Motson and McCoist have set up shop inside your computer.
With FIFA 2003, EA Sports has proven it will finally take a few risks by varying the formula behind the world's number one soccer game. In so doing, it has produced a considerably more challenging and complex affair that should stand the test of time better than its predecessors. It isn't quite perfect, but the latest FIFA game is a refreshing and compelling step ahead in a series that's known for its quality.

Filled with the sort of over-the-top violence and cheeky futuristic propaganda seen in Paul Verhoeven's popular sci-fi films Robocop, Total Recall, and Starship Troopers, Red Faction II is a sequel to 2001's popular PS2 first-person shooter. It's got all the stuff that made the previous game a hit: lots of powerful weapons, lots of enemy fodder, and a number of vehicles you can ride in. Unfortunately, it's not difficult to tell that Red Faction II was originally designed for the relatively less powerful PlayStation 2, as this port seems somewhat watered down, with its fairly plain graphics, small levels, and lack of multiplayer support (though you can play mock-multiplayer battles against computer-controlled bots). The game's single-player campaign is also pretty short, but Red Faction II can still offer some good shooting action for fans of the genre.

Red Faction II takes place in the same universe as the first game: the 22nd century, where humankind is ruled by an evil dictatorship, and only the freedom fighters who call themselves the Red Faction are able to stand in its way. Parker, the hero of the first game, is nowhere to be found here, so no previous Red Faction experience is required or even expected. Instead, this sequel introduces a nanotech-enhanced soldier called Alias, whom you'll play as during the course of the single-player campaign. Alias is part of an elite squad developed to suppress insurgents like the Red Faction, but the squad has turned its coats and now seeks to rid the world of Chancellor Sopot, the man at the root of the Commonwealth's strife and poverty. The plot is pretty thin, and the twist that's thrown in about halfway through seems ridiculous, but at least the story doesn't get in the way of the action. In your mission to assassinate Sopot, and then quell an even greater threat, you'll travel by air, sea, and land while taking on droves of enemies and numerous challenging situations in a diverse and tightly paced series of levels.
Most single-player first-person shooters aren't very long, and Red Faction II is no exception. Even though you'll run into several very tough boss battles when playing through the game at the normal difficulty setting, expect to get through the campaign in approximately seven hours. As if to make up for the relatively short length of the campaign, the designers apparently tried to make sure that there's never a dull moment in it. The very first mission has Alias blowing an enemy base to bits using a weapon that fires both rockets and grenades, and things never really let up from there. The flow of the action does slow down on a couple of occasions, such as when you'll be forced to outwit enemy snipers using your own high-powered long-range rifle, but even those sequences are pretty intense. If you've played other sci-fi-themed shooters, you won't find much in Red Faction II that's completely different from what you've seen before, but the game usually hits all the right notes, doesn't get boring, and packs in lots of variety.
What looks like a multiplayer mode is actually a single-player botmatch. No human opponents allowed.
Much like in the first game, the variety in Red Faction II comes largely from having an occasional in-vehicle sequence to break up all the action on foot. Each of the four vehicles in Red Faction II is remarkably powerful, and they all make for some entertaining shooting sequences. The vehicles aren't simulated with the same level of realism as the vehicles in Halo, but they make up for it to some extent with their toughness and raw firepower. When you're flying high through the air between skyscrapers in the gunship or crashing through war-torn city streets in the tank, the game effectively becomes a rail shooter--you're just the gunner, and your job is to blow up any enemies that get in your way as Shrike, your squad's vehicles expert, steers you through some seriously hostile territory. But when you're in the submarine or the battle armor, you actually get to navigate as well as shoot. All the vehicle sequences are fun while they last, even though they're relatively easy and simple compared with the standard action. You'll especially like the battle armor, which is basically an assault mech bristling with Gatling guns and missiles. You'll take on entire armies in this thing.
Red Faction II's audio holds up better than the graphics in translation. Though the cries of enemy soldiers repeat a bit too often, and some of their lines are pointlessly profane, the sounds of all your various weapons and explosions are loud, clear, and effective. A high-tempo electronic music score pumps in the background beneath the near-constant roar of your firearms and helps maintain the game's high intensity level. The quality of the voice acting is mostly good, with the highlight being Molov, the squad leader of Alias' unit, who is voiced by Lance Henriksen (Aliens). Red Faction II is a pretty good shooter overall, offering up a short but sweet single-player campaign and a decent botmatch mode for a little extra lasting value. The game's not long on looks or replay value (especially since it has no multiplayer play), but it's got no shortage of action.

The battle between Heihachi and Jin began. Filled with anger, his black wings spread, Jin defeated Heihachi. Just as Heihachi thought he was doomed, Jin regained control of himself.

The sounds of battle gave way to silence as Heihachi lay spread out on the ground. The silence was soon interrupted by approaching aircraft.
The roar of the aircraft increased and the sound of something being ejected was heard. A group of Jacks crashed through the ceiling. At first, Heihachi suspected that Kazuya was responsible for the intrusion but realized that Kazuya was just as bewildered by the sudden attack.

"Why are you here?" yells Heihachi as the wave of Jacks approaches. Heihachi and Kazuya battle waves of Jacks but reinforcements appear as fast as the Jacks are destroyed.

Heihachi starts to lose his breath. Kazuya betrays Heihachi, throwing him into the middle of the army of Jacks, and uses the opportunity to escape from Honmaru. Shortly after, Honmaru is devastated by a huge explosion.

Close by, the battle is watched by a man dressed in black. He raises his hand to his ear and speaks into his radio.

"Heihachi Mishima is dead..."

At that moment, a Jack attacks from behind but it cut in half instantly as the man disappears.

Honmaru is completely destroyed, a raging inferno in it's place. A pile of debris was blown apart as something emerged from the earth, unseen.

The next day, news of Heihachi Mishima's death spread rapidly across the globe. Most people believed that Heihachi's death would bring about the end of the Mishima Zaibatsu, but behind the scenes someone else had taken control, and business went on as usual.

 A month later, it was announced that the Mishima Zaibatsu will hold the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5.
